How to setup a company

We will select setup of a company option

Following window opens

We will click next button and following window will open with some required information

Here we will fill

Company name

Address

City, state, zip code

Country

Telephone

Fax

Business type

Email

And then we will click on NEXT button and another window is as follows

Here we will select the Build your own company option and will press the next button and following window opens

Here we will select the accrual method and press the next button and window opens

Here we will select real time option and press the next button and following window opens

We will select the 12 month accounting period option and click next button and next window opens

Here we select the month and year on which our fiscal year starts and the data entering month and the year and then press the next button n last window opens

We select the finish button and company registers.

CREDIT MEMO SALES RETURN

We will select credit memo option from the task option of the menu bar as shown

And following window opens

Information that is needed to be filled in this window is as follows

·       Date

·       Credit No

·       Item

·       Quantity

·       Goods returned

·       Description

·       Unit price

And then we save it.

    

  

OPTION GLOBAL

In order to open global option we select "global" from option menu as shown

Following window opens

ACCOUNTING is the first tab to be discussed.

 DECIMAL ENTRY states that we can change the decimals as we are being provided. We can choose it to be either automatic or manual.

We can hide general ledger account which we have in our account list. And then have options like hide inactive accounts likewise.

GENERAL TAB

This window provides us options regarding improve performance of printing of our page and color scheme etc.

After this we have PEACHTREE PARTNER now we don’t have any Peachtree partner so we are not discussing it here. We will move on to the next which is SPELLINGS. When we click on spellings we have this below window on our screen

This window give us options regarding spellings we can allow computer to check and correct our spellings during typing. Or we can also allow computer to do this work after completing our typing. This window also tells us about the dictionary which the computer is using and some other running options.

How to record general journal entry

In order to post an entry in the journal we will open general journal by selecting it from task menu as shown

Following window opens

 Here in we will enter following information

·       Date

·       Reference number,

·       Account id,

·       Description,

·       Entry debit and credit,

·       Summary of entry

How to maintain Assemblies in Peachtree

We will select “assemblies” option from the task tab as shown below

Following window opens

Here we select the item ID of the product which is to be assembled and it has been maintained in the inventory item

As we select the item ID the name will be shown automatically.

We will enter the

·       Reference

·       Quantity to build

·       Reason to build

As shown in the figure below

And save it…

Quotes and Sales Order

Quotes and Sales orders and receipts

Quotes states the price list of specific good, terms and conditions that are sent to prospects in respect to attain them.

Sales order states the quantity of good ordered to be sold.

Quote window is opened by selecting the quote/sales orders option shown at top of the task tab and sub-select the QUOTE option and in this window we will select a specific customer ID, if not exists we will make a new ID for that, select a specific date, enter the price of the desired quantity of goods as shown below

AND WE SAVE IT ALL.

SALES ORDERS

In order record the sales order we will open sales order window by selecting SUB-OPTION of sales order option of task tab. We will select a customer ID, the date of order, give it a specific sales order number, the quantity and per unit cost

How to convert quotes into sales order

Quotations can also be changed into sales order by selecting the customer id and then click on the convert button shown in menu bar as following

Vendor credit memo

It’s a document which is used to record the purchase returns. In order to record them, we will open the vendor memo window by selecting the “vendor credit memo” from task tab

Following window opens

We now will select the vendor to whom we will return the goods

We will select an invoice number and give that vendor a specific credit number.

And in end we will enter the quantity of goods needed to be returned.
